Let’s talk books! Chick Lit, Literary Fiction, the TV Book Club, The Orange Prize, The Golden Dagger, Waterstones recommendations, the local library or Oxfam’s finest – wherever you get your reading matter, we want to meet you.
What’s the best book you’ve read this year? What book would you buy for a friend? For your mother? For someone who was feeling a bit low? Who is your favourite hero? Where do you most like to read? What’s the worst book anyone has ever recommended to you? Local writer and reader development worker, Zosia Wand will ply you with wine and take you through some gentle games and discussions to tease out those reading delights - and horrors.
Wine and nibbles provided!
Have fun, meet other readers, make new friends and talk about books.
Over the next year, Lanternhouse will be hosting a series of themed events for readers. If you are already a member of a book group, looking to join a group or start one of your own, or if you simply enjoy a good read and want some reading recommendations from other readers, then come and share your reading passions with us.
A good evening out with other people who love books.
Bring along a book you have recently enjoyed.
The Readers’ Party will be followed by a series of themed bi-monthly sessions. For these a short, optional reading list will be circulated in advance. Zosia will provide email support and encouragement between sessions. Preparatory reading is entirely optional and you can choose which events to attend.
