Sonic Landscapes is a sound installation that has been created by 15 young people from Ulverston and Barrow, during a series of digital art workshops this summer. The young people have worked with artists Fern Oxley and Shaun Blezard.
Join us at Mintfest in Kendal to see the installation they have created.
Feel free to wander around the Sonic Landscapes installation in Abbot Hall Park and listen out for the different sounds. The young people have created eight different soundscapes to reflect eight different emotions.
Artists Shaun and Fern, and some of the young people will be in Kendal with the installation and will be on hand to talk about their work so please do feel free to ask them questions.
This partnership has been a partnership between Lanternhouse, Nacro, Connexions Cumbria, Lakes Alive and artlocatesme.
Our thanks to our funders the Sir John Fisher Foundation, and the Youth Opportunity Fund.
